RBI JE Eligibility Criteria

RBI JE : Reserve Bank of India conducts the competitive examination for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in Civil/Electrical field in its various zonal offices across the country. The exam is conducted at the national level at the exam centers in various cities. The exam is conducted as the computer-based test. The advertisement for RBI 2016 will be published soon by the bank. Aspirants will have to apply online for the post of Junior Engineer. The application form will be made available on the official portal of RBI.

RBI JE Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements to be able to apply online and appear in the exam:

Educational Qualifications:
  • For Junior Engineer (Civil): Candidates must have completed 03 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) or Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical): 03 years Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) or Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD)

Experience: Candidates with diploma must hold at- least 02 years’ experience and candidates with degree must have an experience of at least 01 year in execution and supervision of civil construction work, civil maintenance of office buildings etc. for the post of JE (Civil) and in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large buildings for the post of JE (Electrical).

Job Description of Junior Engineer:
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Handling and supervision of civil construction/ maintenance/ interior works of the related infrastructural system and other related jobs in office buildings and residential colonies.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical): Handling and supervision of electrical/ electro-mechanical/ electrical and electronics installations/ systems and other related jobs in office building and residential colonies.

RBI JE Exam Pattern

RBI JE Exam Pattern:An online examination will be held comprising of 200 marks. Candidates will be required to attempt three tests namely- English Language, Engineering Discipline, General Awareness. All of them will have 50 questions each. The questions will be entirely objective in nature. Candidates will have to choose one option from the four options. The maximum marks in the English and General awareness is 50 and 100 for engineering discipline.
