RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016– Aspirants of RBI Assistant 2016 Exam must satisfy each eligibility condition of the Exam. The online written exam to recruit eligible Indians to the post of Assistants in the Reserve Bank of India, to be held inAugust 2016. The online registration of the same will commence in June 2016. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear in exam who satisfy all the norms of eligibility conditions. RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016- Nationality
Only Indian citizens can apply for the RBI Assistant Exam 2016.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016- Age Limit (as on 01 June 2016)
Candidate’s age must be between 18 to 28 years i.e. Aspirants must have been born after June 1988 and before 01 June 1998 (both days including).

Age Relaxation-
Candidates belonging to listed categories can avail the age relaxation in upper age limit, check the details here.

(ii) Other Backward Classes (OBC) 3 years, i.e. up to 31 years
(iii) Persons with Disabilities (PWD) 10 years (GEN) 13 years (OBC) & 15 years (SC/ST)
(iv) Ex-Servicemen Upto 50 years
(v) Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married 10 years
(vi) Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1 January 1980 to 31 December 1989. 5 years
(vii) Candidates having work experience in Reserve Bank of India Up to 3 years

Candidates availing age relaxation need to submit a valid proof of age at the time of interview.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016- Educational Qualifications (as on 03 July 2016)-

1. Candidates must have attained a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the computer knowledge.
2. A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependants of ex-servicemen) must possess a graduate degree from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.

3. Candidates should be proficient in the regional language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state for which they aspire to apply.

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges (Non- Refundable)
1. Rs 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)
2. Rs 450 /- for OBC/General candidates (Examination fee+ Intimation Charges)

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern

RBI Assistant Exam 2016 Pattern:-
The Online Examination will be for 200 marks.

Duration of the Exam:- 2 Hours

The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

A candidate has to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.

RBI Assistant Selection Procedure

As per the selection process, the online examination is followed by the Interview. Only those candidates will be eligible for Interviews who will stand sufficiently high in merit based on the aggregate marks obtained by them in the online objective test. Final selection will be made on the combined score obtained based on the performance in the online exam and Interview.
